Deleting your account
You can close your account at any time and we will delete everything we are not legally required to keep. This page sets out exactly what goes, what stays, and why — because a deletion page that only says 'we will delete your data' leaves you to discover the exceptions later.
How it works
1. Send the request
Use the form below, or write to privacy@seferpay.co from the email address on the account. We need to be able to confirm the request came from you.
2. We verify it is you
Within two working days we confirm the request against the account. If anything is unclear we ask before acting rather than after.
3. Access ends immediately
As soon as the request is verified, sign-in is disabled and any active subscription is cancelled. Nothing further is charged.
4. Deletion completes within 30 days
We delete every category we are permitted to delete and confirm in writing what was removed and what was retained — naming each, rather than sending a generic confirmation.
What we cannot delete, and why
These retentions are imposed by financial and tax regulation. They are not a preference and we cannot shorten them at request. Retained records are locked to compliance access only — they are not used for anything else, and no one on the product side can reach them.
Transaction records10 years from the transaction
Financial regulation requires a complete transaction history to be recoverable for audit
Identity and compliance documents8 years from closure
Anti-money-laundering rules require verification records to be retained after an account closes
Invoices and tax records7 years
Tax law requires them, independently of your account
Request deletion
This opens your email client with the request filled in. We do not submit anything on your behalf, and nothing is sent until you press send.
Fill in the email and account name, and tick the box.
After deletion
- You will not be able to sign in, and the account cannot be restored.
- Any active subscription is cancelled and no further charges are made.
- Retained records are held under compliance access only, and are used for nothing else.
- You can open a new account later, but it starts empty — nothing carries over.
